EUROCAM, together with the Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Healthcare Coalition (TCIH), has written to the President of Poland regarding the Government Bill amending the Act on Patients’ Rights and the Commissioner for Patients’ Rights (Sejm Print No. 2598).
In the letter, EUROCAM and the TCIH Coalition express support for the bill’s core objective of strengthening patient protection, while also highlighting concerns raised by Polish TCIM organisations, including EUROCAM’s Associate Member, the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Naturopaths. These organisations report that the draft legislation may unintentionally restrict patient access to safe TCIM services and place responsible practitioners under disproportionate legal uncertainty.
The letter emphasises that effective regulation is best achieved when policymakers engage in constructive, evidence‑informed dialogue with representative organisations. EUROCAM and the TCIH Coalition respectfully call on the President to support such dialogue before the legislation is finalised, ensuring that any regulatory changes remain balanced, proportionate and aligned with the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy 2025–2034.
