Wednesday 7 June 2023 | Brussels

The MEP Interest Group on Integrative Medicine and Health will host the Breakfast Roundtable on Integrative Oncology | best practices for a patient-centered cancer care. The roundtable will be hosted by MEP Manuela Ripa on behalf of the MEP Interest Group on Integrative Medicine and Health on 07 June 2023, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM CEST.

Following the 2020 Integrative Oncology conference hosted by the MEP Interest Group on Integrative Medicine and Health, this roundtable is part of an ongoing examination of the contribution of integrative oncology to improve outcomes of cancer treatment. It aims to explore the added values for patients of various integrative treatments and discuss best practices of integration across Europe.

Integrative Oncology - a holistic and patient-centred approach to cancer care

ntegrative Oncology utilizes practices from different medical traditions alongside conventional cancer treatments, aiming to optimize health, quality of life, and clinical outcomes, in all stages of the disease. Integrating these traditions into mainstream care ensures safety, provides a coherent treatment approach, and responds to frequent requests of patients. Multiple studies have demonstrated the benefit and potential of integrative cancer care in reducing patient suffering and improving long-term prospects.

Please note this event will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels – Room ASP 1E3, in-person. Places are limited; please register before 30 May in the evening via the link here.
