Anna Paul, PhD, with a doctorate in medical sciences/health sciences, is head of the Department of Mind Body Medicine (MBM) in the Clinic for Naturopathy and Integrative Medicine section of Integrative Oncology and within the project of Integrative Psychosomatics at KEM / Evang. Kliniken Essen-Mitte, Germany. The Focus of her clinical work is developing and integrating MBM methods like yoga, meditation, mindful exercise, food therapy, or naturopathic self-help and self-care strategies into the treatment and care of patients. Anna Paul is also head of the Erich Rothenfußer Akademie at KEM, responsible for further education and training of health professionals, doctors, and medical students in MBM, Naturopathy, Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Health Behaviour and Lifestyle Change, Fasting, and other. She is also teaching medical students in MBM and Naturopathy. She leads the Prevention and Health Promotion Working Group, closely connected and cooperating with the professorship of Naturopathy and Integrative Medicine, University of Duisburg-Essen Faculty of Medicine. She is also chairperson of “Natur und Medizin”, the support association of the Karl and Veronica Carstens Foundation, fostering the integration of Naturopathy and Homeopathy into conventional medical research and education.
